PLANET PASSPORT

Through the Planet Passport activity, PLANET PASSPORT, fosters teamwork and collaboration while also allowing students to acquire new knowledge. This activity is very important for fulfilling both the interdisciplinary criteria and the common product criteria. It involves learning about planets and interesting facts about them. Beforehand, they watch a documentary providing general information about planets. Afterwards, as Yasemin Genel's team, we decide to take a mini-lesson from our Science teacher, Mehlika ÇELİK. Students then use this information to redraw their own designs based on their favorite planets.

We also receive support from our art teacher, Yasemin Yıldırım, for this part. Thanks to the Planet Passport activity, we not only gain enlightening information about planets but also showcase our creativity by working together in art class on the theme, 'If your favorite planet were different from its current state, what would you want it to be like?' This results in students creating unique versions of the planets. Last but not least, we transfer this information to the section allocated to Yasemin Genel's team using Canva. We would like to thank our science teacher Mehlika ÇELİK and our art teacher Yasemin YILDIRIM for accompanying us in this activity. Our students combined science, art, creativity, and teamwork in an engaging learning journey. By exploring the wonders of space and reimagining their favorite planets, they developed both their knowledge and imagination. This interdisciplinary experience encouraged curiosity, collaboration, and innovative thinking while helping students express their unique perspectives.
Together, we discovered that learning becomes even more meaningful when different subjects come together and every student has the opportunity to contribute their ideas. We are proud of our young space explorers and their amazing creations!
